How to Surf Around Corners in CSGO
When surfing in CSGO, you are NEVER supposed to be pressing W or S key at all (even in air). Instead, you want to be holding A (if you are surfing a corner on YOUR left) as soon as you make contact with corner, and hold D if the corner is on your right.
If you hold the correct key around each corner you should be able to avoid being dragged down by gravity and will slide in a curve trajectory on the corner
What to do with your Camera?
While surfing on a corner, camera movement will dictate whether your character will slide outwards of the corner, or towards the corner.
If you are looking outwards of the corner while surfing, your character will begin to slide towards the outside of the corner.
If you are looking towards the inside of the corner, your character will be sliding towards the corner.
How to surf a CSGO corner?
To properly surf a corner and gain speed, you will need to follow the trajectory shown in the image.
Since the corner is on your left, you will be holding the A key the whole time, during the green part of the trajectory, your camera will be moving towards the outside of the corner, and during the red part of the trajectory, your camera should be looking inwards of the corner.
Make sure your camera movements are smooth and not sudden as it may lose you momentum.
If you do this properly you should have racked up speed after exiting the corner
What to do in the air?
While you are flying in the air between corners, you will also only be holding only A and D.
To move straight ahead, do not press A or D and do not turn your camera. Your character will move straight ahead on its own.
To curve left, hold A and turn your camera slowly towards the left. Your camera has to be in the process of turning the whole time the A key is pressed (and only do these 2 things at the same time).
To curve right, hold D and turn your camera slowly towards the right. Your camera has to be in the process of turning the whole time the D key is pressed (and only do these 2 things at the same time)
If you do these things correctly, you will be able to navigate in the air from obstacle to obstacle without losing your momentum.
