One of the most desirable and well-known finishes for knives in CSGO is the Doppler. Their unique patterns and color schemes look fantastic, but how dopplers work is not very straightforward. In this blog, we’ll explain all the details on CSGO dopplers in simple terms, so that you can understand them!

The Four Doppler Phases:

When you unbox a CSGO Doppler knife, there is a 90% chance that you’ll get one of the main four phases, which makes them (mostly) worth around market price. Each phase differs from the others by the percentage of each color on the blade.

Phase 1 (80% blue, 20% pink):

A Phase 1 CSGO Doppler knife will have about 80% blue, and 20% pink on the blade. Phase 1 dopplers tend to be the 2nd cheapest phase, and look like this:

Phase 2 (80% pink, 20% blue):

A Phase 2 CSGO Doppler knife will have about 80% pink, and 20% blue on the blade. Phase 2 dopplers are the most expensive of the main 4 doppler phases due to the almost fully pink blade, and look like this:

Phase 3 (80% Blue, 10% Green, 10% Black):

A Phase 3 CSGO Doppler knife will have about 80% blue, and 10% green, and 10% black on the blade. This phase is the cheapest of the four, and looks like this:

Phase 4 (80% Blue, 20% Black):

A Phase 4 CSGO Doppler knife will have about 80% blue, and 20% pink on the blade. However, this phase can have less black on the blade, making it look very similar to a sapphire (which we will discuss later in this post), and these “Fake Sapphires” can be worth overpay. Phase 4 dopplers tend to be the 2nd most expensive phase, and look like this:

Doppler Gems:

When you unbox a CSGO Doppler knife, there is a little under a 10% chance of getting a doppler gem. A CSGO Doppler Gem has a blade that consists of only one color. The two gems are the Sapphire and Ruby knives, which have full blue and full red blades, respectively. Additionally, there is less than a 1% chance of getting a Black Pearl knife, which has a black and purple blade. Because of how rare and unique these doppler gems and pearls look, they are worth massive amounts of overpay!
