Valve's recent update on October 2nd introduces the Armory Pass for $16 USD, offering a range of rewards, including charms, weapon collections, stickers, and a new Gallery Case. This guide explores the potential profitability of the Armory Pass, item choices, and how to maximize your skins. The Armory Pass is at least going to return your initial investment due to the nature of the items you get from the pass.
How it works?
There have been up to 100 items that have been added to the game through the Armory Pass. The Armory Pass is a purchasable pass that allows gamers to gain non-purchasable Stars (~½ star per game per pass). The stars can then be used to be spent on the Overpass, Graphic, Sport and Field Collection that will give a random item from the collection (costs 4 stars). They can also be spent on the newly added charms (attachable and removable small toys to your gun), aswell as to buy the newly added Gallery Cases (2 stars). Finally, they can be spent on the new Heat-treated Deagle unique blue pattern based skin (25 stars).
Gamers can also stack up to 5 passes at the same time to grind them at the same time
Can You Profit from the CS2 Armory Pass?
A recent update suggests that Armory Passes and Credits will never expire, however, item availability is subject to change. An increase of the skins float could impact item value over time, unlike previous Counter-Strike Operations where items gained value due to their limited supply.
Historically, CS:GO Operations and Major Passes have been profitable, especially by selling items early or holding for a certain period for future value. However, with the Armory Pass priced at $16, potential profitability is still uncertain.
Steps to Profit from the Armory Pass
Indeed, there is a way to profit from this new update, but the more you wait, the less profit will be available due to the supply of new items increasing at a fast pace.
1) Play for Stars
Currently, the only way to unlock Stars is to play! So play as much as you can. If you do the following steps, it will even be profitable!
2) Buy Gallery Cases
Use your Stars to buy some cases but don’t open them.
3) Sell the Cases
Sell your cases on Steam Market Community. As of today October 10th prices, Gallery Case listings are starting at $4.56, but the bigger the supply will become, the faster the price will drop. Be quick!
4) Bonus: Weekly Drops
If you are lucky enough, you might even be able to put your hand on one of the brand new weapon charms, which are still scarce in the CS economy. In order to maximize profit, your best option available would also be to sell the charm.

If you’re interested in skins, spending all points on collections yields about 10 skins, with an option to acquire more through multiple passes. If you’re looking for items with long-term value, opt for the Galery case, which presents great chances of increasing in price though availability. Charms are also a good option & particularly rare. For a limited-time item, the Desert Eagle | Heat Treated may be a solid investment. Available only for less than 100 days, it could retain rarity if fewer players unlock it.
